Stress Management and Burnout Prevention for Health Care Professionals

November 30, 2018: 9:00am - 12:00pm

This live event will take place at the The Westin O’Hare, 6100 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL 60018

Health care professionals face stressful situations almost daily while at work, from balancing seeing patients to communicating effectively with their colleagues, managing their EMR entries, and staying up-to-date on new legislation and insurance requirements. It’s incredibly important for physicians and other clinicians to be able to identify stress and to understand coping skills and how they can manage their stress in order to prevent burnout.

This interactive workshop will include discussion and exercises on a variety of topics, including common sources of stress, communication techniques, as well as stress management tricks and tips. Learners will also be able to participate in a burnout inventory. Attendees will walk away having practiced ways to manage their stress and with an understanding of how to identify their stressors and a recognition of their stress and burnout levels.
